Afternoon Trip: White Water Rafting Class III on Rio Sarapiqui
Tour Description
If you are one of those people who sleeps late or want to take advantage of the morning for another activity, then this is the best rafting option for your family and friends.
The activity begins by picking you up at your hotel or at our company office, located in Fortuna ave 333, st 460. Then we drive in a modern and comfortable bus with AC for about one hour to reach the Rio Sarapiqui.
Upon reaching the Rio Sarapiqui we dress you up with the gear (lifejacket, helmet, and paddle) we also offer a full safety talk to make sure you enjoy a safe experience. Our guides are bilingual, certified, and with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
After the safety speech, we do a little practice, and start the descent of the rapids with 2 hours to down a section of 10 kilometers with an average of 25 rapids, full of fun waves and big splash. On the way, we stop to enjoy some seasonal fruit like pineapples, watermelons, or mangos, and resting at a nice spot on the river side.
As an optional activity, we also stop at a place where you can jump from a cliff, not too high and deep enough, where the guides will give you tips and secure measures to e safe.
During the tour, you can see a diversity of wildlife, as well as wonderful scenes of dense vegetation and landscapes also the water is clear and the temperature is perfect for swimming.
At the end of the tour, the driver wait for you at our take out point, with the bus, water, and towels, and we also offer tropical fruit, costarican snaks and coffee, also you will be able to observe the funny photographs of yourself on the rapids.
After enjoy some fruit and costarican snaks, we take you back to your hotel in La Fortuna.

What to bring
Secure closed-toed shoes are required for rafting (flip flops or crocs are NOT ALLOWED). Bring comfortable clothes to get wet and move while paddling, and also a change of clothes.

- “Pick up time” refers to the time we pick you up at the hotel, “Departure Time” refers to the time when the tour starts at our office.
- Pick up service is included ONLY for hotels located 5 km around La Fortuna Central Park. We DO NOT offer pick service on Airbnb, however you can drive or take a taxi to our main office in La Fortuna, where we offer safe parking and more facilities.
