White Water Rafting Class IV
and ATV Adventure
Tour Description
The activity start by picking you up at the hotel or at our main office, to drive for about one hour to reach the Sarapiqui River, where our rafting guides will give you lifejackets, paddle an helmet, and after a quick safety speech, we start to down the river. The descend takes about 2 hours , where we enjoy over 30 thrilling rapids class IV, lush vegetation, wildlife, tropical fruits and nice water temperature.
At the end our driver wait with the bus, providing towels and drinks, after jumping in the bus we take you to our private restaurant to enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch and good coffee.
On the way back to La Fortuna we stop at a place near town where you do the ATV adventure.
Our ATV tour has a duration of 2 hours, in which we cross streams, primary forests, yucca plantations, take a break at the Fortuna River, where you can swim in natural pools and walk through streams, and visit the first cemetery of La Fortuna, which is located on our property. All this accompanied by a brief talk by our guides.
We offer free transportation from most areas near Fortuna and a nominal fee for hotels located outside the immediate area.

Please Note:
- Pick up time may be 30 to 40 minutes before departure time depending on Hotel location.
- Pick up service included in price only applies for hotel located 5 miles around our operation base in La Fortuna.
Minimun Age
✅ 16 years is the minimun age for driving, No license required.
14 years is the minimun age for the rafting class IV
Duration
6 hours total:
2 hours rafting + 2 hours atv tour + 1 h lunch + 2 h total transportation time.
Price
$147 per person (on ATV Double) with taxes included.
$164 per person (on ATV Single) with taxes included.
ATV Double means 2 passengers sharing the same vehicule.
ATV Single means 1 passenger per vehicule.
You can combine doubles and singles ATVs during the booking process.
What to bring
Secure closed-toed shoes are required for rafting (flip flops or crocs are NOT ALLOWED). Bring comfortable clothes to get wet and move while paddling, and also a change of clothes.

Itinerary:
White Water Rafting
Navigate 10 kilometers of white water rapids, stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit.
After white water rafting, you will get a clean towel, water, and we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch.

- “Pick up time” refers to the time we pick you up at the hotel, “Departure Time” refers to the time when the tour starts at our office.
- Pick up service is included ONLY for hotels located 5 km around La Fortuna Central Park. We DO NOT offer pick service on Airbnb, however you can drive or take a taxi to our main office in La Fortuna, where we offer safe parking and more facilities.
Meeting instructions:
If you do not need to pick up, you can get to our office at 7:20 am. We are located 100 meters north from the police station, avenue 333 street 460. You can find us on Waze or google maps as ARENAL RAFTING COMPANY.
